Meet the amazing animals of Lords Exotics Encounters

Meet Gary, our gorgeous 4-year-old female gargoyle gecko who has been part of the Lords Exotics family since 2023. 🦎❤️ Gary is full of personality and loves exploring her surroundings, but her favourite place to hang out is definitely her coconut hide! 🥥😂 When it comes to food, she absolutely loves watermelon Pangea. 🍉 Gary is a brilliant little ambassador for showing people just how fascinating geckos can be, and we can’t wait for you to meet her and learn more about these amazing little climbers at one of our encounters! 🦎❤️

Meet Sharon, our beautiful 3-year-old female West Indian leopard gecko, who joined the Lords Exotics family in June 2026. ❤️ Sharon is a curious little lady who loves exploring and checking out everything going on around her. She may be small, but she certainly has plenty of personality! Her favourite place is hiding underneath her cork bark, and she absolutely loves a tasty wax worm as a treat. 🪱 Sharon is a wonderful little reptile to have around and we can’t wait for you to meet her, learn about her and maybe even say hello at one of our encounters! 🦎❤️

Meet Shadow, our beautiful Brazilian Black Tarantula, who has been part of the Lords Exotics family since December 2025. 🕷️❤️ At around 2.5 years old, Shadow is a fairly laid-back tarantula who much prefers doing things at their own pace. They spend plenty of time exploring their enclosure and, of course, doing what tarantulas do best — being a little bit mysterious! 😂 Shadow absolutely loves their food, with crickets being a firm favourite, and their beautiful velvety jet-black appearance makes them a fascinating animal to meet. We can’t wait for you to meet Shadow, learn more about tarantulas and maybe even see them up close at one of our encounters! 🕷️🖤

Meet Gary, our giant African land snail who has been part of the Lords Exotics family since 2026. 🐌❤️ Gary might move at a slower pace than some of our other animal ambassadors, but he’s certainly not boring! 😂 At 2 years old, Gary is a fascinating little character who loves exploring and absolutely enjoys his dandelions. 🌼 He’s also a great conversation starter at our encounters, especially when people discover that giant African land snails are hermaphrodites, meaning each individual has both male and female reproductive organs! 🐌 Gary may take his time, but he’s definitely worth waiting for! ❤️

Meet Lizzy, our beautiful 15-year-old female leopard tortoise who has been part of the Lords Exotics family since 2024. 🐢❤️ Lizzy is a gentle giant with a big personality and certainly knows how to make an entrance! She loves taking her time to explore her surroundings and can often be found happily grazing away, especially when there’s some tasty bindweed around. 🌿😂 Lizzy is a fantastic example of just how beautiful and fascinating leopard tortoises are, and we can’t wait for you to meet her and learn more about these amazing animals at one of our encounters! 🐢❤️

Meet Ronnie and Reggie, our African Train Millipedes! 🪱❤️ These fascinating boys have been part of the Lords Exotics family since 2026 and are some of the largest millipedes in the world. They love exploring and burrowing, and you’ll often find them happily munching away on decaying leaves and vegetables. 🌿🥕 Despite their name, they don’t actually have 1,000 legs — they can have around 250–300 legs depending on their size! 😂 Ronnie and Reggie are brilliant little ambassadors for invertebrates and are always a great talking point during our encounters, helping us show just how fascinating these often-overlooked animals really are. 🪱❤️

Say hello to our Horsfield’s Tortoises! 🐢❤️ We have 9 amazing Horsfield’s tortoises here at Lords Exotics, ranging from just 3 years old all the way up to 47 years old, and every single one of them has come to us as a rescue. ❤️ They all have their own personalities and stories, and love spending their time exploring, grazing and searching for their favourite grasses, weeds and leafy greens! 🌿🐢 From our youngest tortoises to our oldest, they are fantastic ambassadors for their species and help us teach people about responsible reptile keeping, rescue animals and just how incredible tortoises really are. 🥰 Fun fact — Horsfield’s tortoises are incredible diggers and can create deep burrows in the wild to escape extreme temperatures! 🐢⛏️

Say hello to Flame, our fantastic Crested Gecko! 🦎❤️ Flame is 5 years old and has been with us since 2023. Originally from New Caledonia 🇳🇨, she is full of character and is a brilliant little ambassador for her species! ❤️ Flame loves her Fig and Insect Pangea and spends her time climbing, exploring and, apparently, pooping on the glass! 😂💩 She helps us show people just how fascinating and unique Crested Geckos really are during our encounters. 🥰 Fun fact — Crested Geckos have tiny hairs called setae on their feet, which help them grip onto surfaces and climb across incredibly smooth surfaces! 🦎🧗

Merlin holds a very special place in the Lords Exotics family. 🐢❤️ At around 100 years old, he’s one of the oldest and most fascinating members of our animal family. With so many years of life behind him, Merlin is a wonderful reminder of just how long tortoises can live and how much they can teach us about these incredible animals. He’s a true character and always gets plenty of attention when people meet him, giving everyone the chance to get up close and appreciate one of nature’s amazing survivors. 🐢🌿❤️

Simba holds a very special place in the Lords Exotics family. ❤️🦎 He was the very first animal I ever produced, making him a huge part of my journey with reptiles and where everything began. From being a tiny hatchling to the beautiful adult leopard gecko he is today, Simba has grown alongside my passion for reptiles. Now he gets to be part of Lords Exotics Encounters, helping me share that passion with others and showing people just how amazing these animals can be. 🥰🦎❤️
